Bartender TIPS Certification Program

All our bartenders must be TIPS certified in order to work at Bogota Bistro. What is TIPS Certification? The TIPS (Training for Intervention ProcedureS) programs teach servers, sellers and consumers of alcohol to prevent intoxication, drunk driving and underage drinking.

"Hi Farid,

To find a TIPS training session, contact a trainer to set up training,
or to have trainers in your area contact you, please visit the TIPS web-site and follow these instructions:

www.gettips.com
On right side
of homepage, under heading, “TIPS Server/Student”
Click on “Upcoming
Server/Student Training”

If you do not see training scheduled in your
area, return to the homepage.
Under the woman pointing to the chalkboard,
click on the words “Find a trainer.”
Locate trainers in your state that you
can contact directly, or
Click on the phrase in red lettering: “Don’t see a
trainer here? Post a training request and have a trainer call you.” (You may get
many calls, depending how many TIPS trainers are in your area and choose to
respond, so be forewarned!)

Please feel free to call with questions, and
thanks again for using TIPS!

Yours truly,

Inspirations

Rincon Criollo Cuban Restaurant in Jackson Heights
Inspiration for how we want our restaurant to look and feel comes from many places and can happen at any time. In this case, it comes from a Cuban restaurant found in Jackson Heights called Rincon Criollo. Rincon Criollo consistently ranks high on people's favorite Cuban restaurant list on Chowhound. We love this old style cafeteria menu on the wall with the white bubble letters. Very funky and old school.
