Some Members of the Bogota Family
Yesterday we conducted a 2nd round of group interviews with approximately 10 applicants who showed up from the 14 we had scheduled (4 of which were no-shows). The process was unconventional, some of it was structured and some of it was just winging it along the way. I'm not sure that anyone, other than George and myself since we had already conducted a similar group interview last week, had any idea what this experience would be like.
What was meant to be an hour and a half interview turned into 2 1/2 hours. It turned out to be a lot of fun for us and, I think, for the applicants too. We had a group of very good people overall. At one point, I looked out onto the applicants and thought, "Wow. With maybe a couple of exceptions, this could easily be our starting lineup." Not only did we get to meet some really cool people, we also got some great feedback from them as well on what they felt Bogota is all about. It tells me that George and I are doing this right. They got the 'vibe' we're going for and from all indications, people are looking forward to it.
The whole thing ended with a huge round of applause all around for a great effort and showing from everyone involved. From the 2 groups we interviewed, we definitely have enough good candidates to begin the individual follow-up interviews which we'll be scheduling soon. Stay tuned for more! Thanks again to all who showed up for this experience. We had a great time doing it.
