A Couple of Reasons To Love Owning A Restaurant
I never know who's going to visit this restaurant at any given point but it's become a real meeting ground for friends of ours who we haven't seen in a very long time. A great thing about owning a restaurant is that I get to see my friends much more often than I ever did before. Another great thing: I get to entertain them without me every having to lift in finger in the kitchen. Granted, I do bust my rear end making sure that they are well treated, as I do with all my guests, but I never have to lift a finger in the kitchen. Oh, and reason #3: I don't have to wash dishes after they've left. I pay someone to do that for me. Isn't that great?

Setting New Standards
It's been very interesting to watch the businesses surrounding Bogota making changes since we've come to the block. It's not only been interesting but amusing to watch a few of them (most of whom have been around for years) copy some of our design and marketing ideas. Some have started cleaning up their act and upscaling their operation. I like to point them out to George by saying, "Oh look! They're spending money!"
A fellow Park Slope business owner on 5th Avenue said to me, "You guys are setting a new standard." Imagine that! We're the new kids on the block and we're setting a new standard!

Have your next birthday at Bogota. Stripper not included.
