Letter of Appreciation: David A.

Dear George & Farid:

Just a note to thank you AND give you kudos. As I'm sure you remember, a week or so before Christmas I brought in Carlos & his family for dinner after a Christmas concert. My reasons were 2 fold: (1) given the two family members in wheelchairs I wanted to go somewhere I knew we could be accomodated and well taken care of and (2) to show off my "friends-I-know-who-own-a-restaurant".

But I have to admit, I was still a little anxious at bringing this "authentic" South American family who live in Queens surrounded by hard-core South American (esp. Colombian) restaurants in to this stylish, hip, happenin' "Pan-Latin" Restaurant in Park Slope. I knew they'd love the place, the decor, the atmosphere ... but what will they think about the food? As much as I love it, I don't really know anything about Latin American food. Is it "authetic enough" to impress these native South American's?

Well, let me just say that since that day, I can't tell you how many times your restaurant, and how excellent it was, has been brought up in that family. And moreover, being that their family tradition is to spend New Year's Eve together at a restaurant for dinner and ringing in the New Year, after our dinner at your restaurant their First Choice on a place to go this year became Bogota Bistro!

Thank you so much for again accomodating our large and, well, vivacious group on such a crazy and busy night for you. For us, it was a night of food, fun, festiveness
and family all brought together expertly and perfectly by you and your staff.

And just for the record ... the TRES LECHES cake???? This absolutely MUST stay on the menu!!! I never thought, after I first tried the Xangos, that I would ever want anything else ... but now I'm sooooo torn!!! I actually had to order both on Sunday. I think I gained 5 pounds, but it was TOOOOTALLY worth it!!!

Anyway ... thank you for everything and Kudos for all your success
and, again, for impressing the family ... you made me look good

:-)
David A.
Farid: As we say in Colombia, David, "Siempre a la orden!"
