HELP WANTED: Bogota Latin Bistro
Bogota Bistro Seeks Experienced Restaurant Staff
Brooklyn’s hottest pan-latin restaurant is seeking qualified servers, bussers/runners and bartenders for brunch/dinner shifts.
Qualified applicants should be detail-oriented, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and not afraid to pitch in and help where needed, in addition to providing friendly, warm and professional service. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus. Potential exists for management position in future. Qualified applicants should have at least one year NYC restaurant experience..
We’ve been around for under a year—but have thus far been featured in the media and have consistently gotten great reviews for our food, drinks, space and service. Our customers love our restaurant. Our staff are friendly, fun and easy to work with. If you’re fine with taking and following direction in order to continue helping us grow, then this is a great job. We have little tolerance for bad attitude, laziness, poor communications skills or sloppiness. We are not a training ground for wanna-be servers or bartenders.
In order to work here, you must be good and prove it immediately.
Include your resume in the body of your email and tell us something about yourself. Any email with an attachment and without an introduction will be deleted, not read. You will have the opportunity to be decisive factor in the success and future of this restaurant. We are looking for people with a burning passion for hospitality and the business; and with a shining personality and enthusiasm for food and great customer service.
Our vision for this restaurant must be yours too. Include photo if you have one, although it is not necessary. Please e-mail resumes to FaridAli@Gmail.com All interviews by appointment only. No walk-ins or phone calls please.

The Library: Next Best Thing to an MBA
Five years ago, Farid Ali was a Web designer for a Manhattan law firm when a friend, George Constantinou, suggested they open a restaurant together in Brooklyn. For Ali, however, there appeared to be a couple of small hurdles. First, his entire restaurant experience amounted to a brief stint as a busboy some 20 years before. Second, he had never owned his own business.

Dear Sara's Mom
I understand you want to see a sneak preview of the new mural Sara is so hard at work painting. Well, here it is along with a shot of your incredibly talented daughter working her magic. I also thought you should know that I am in love with your daughter and that if things were different, I'd fling her over my shoulders and bring her to my cave to paint murals for me day and night.
As an aside, Sara is available for residential and commercial mural painting. She can be reached at SaraJeanOdam{@}yahoo.com.
