Termination

I fired someone today.

Although it's never without some discomfort especially after having given it careful consideration, firing gets easier the more you do it.

It was really short and over in 5 minutes.

I need to focus on making better hiring choices and listening to my gut instinct and to signs I get externally such as calling up one of the employee's references listed on her resume and being told by a former employer of hers (who we've met in the past), "She's nice but stay away from her."
